Named after Hunter Street, the spine of Newcastle, this design captures the city’s duality; raw and refined, coastal yet industrial. There’s a toughness to Newcastle that’s been softened by the sea. Every pair of Smithers tells a story, and Hunter tells one of balance: steel and surf, effort and ease, work and weekend. It’s an ode to a place whose strength, resilience, and character have shaped not just the landscape, but also how I approach design, understand masculinity, and value creating things that endure.
